RenderReview (“RenderReview”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.

RenderReview is operated under the InkerCreative brand in Finland.

1. Who is responsible for your data

RenderReview processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use RenderReview, we may process:

• account email address;
• authentication and account identifiers;
• account and subscription status;
• project names and project-related information;
• uploaded images, videos and GLB/3D files;
• file metadata;
• reviewer names;
• comments;
• image pin positions;
• video timestamps;
• review and approval status;
• billing-related identifiers received from Stripe;
• IP address and request timestamps;
• authentication and session information;
• upload, security, rate-limit and moderation events;
• error and diagnostic information.

Payment card information is processed by Stripe and is not stored directly by RenderReview.

3. Why we use your data

We process personal data to:

• provide user accounts and authentication;
• provide project, upload and review functionality;
• provide review links, comments, pins, timestamps and approvals;
• manage Free and Pro plan limits;
• process and manage paid subscriptions;
• prevent spam, abuse, fraud and misuse;
• protect the security and integrity of RenderReview;
• diagnose technical problems;
• comply with applicable legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations;
• respond to support and privacy requests.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on:

• performance of a contract;
• compliance with legal obligations;
• legitimate interests such as security, abuse prevention, fraud prevention and service reliability;
• consent where applicable law requires it.

5. How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

In general:

• account information is retained while the account remains active;
• project and media content is retained until deleted by the account owner or the account is closed, subject to limited technical retention;
• comments and review information are generally retained with the relevant project until deleted;
• billing and transaction-related records may be retained for the period required by law;
• security, moderation, diagnostic and operational logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting and legal compliance.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in technical backups or processing systems before being permanently removed.

6. Service providers

RenderReview uses third-party service providers including:

Google Firebase / Google Cloud

RenderReview uses Firebase and related Google infrastructure for application hosting, authentication, database functionality and file storage.

Depending on the Firebase service used, data may be processed or stored outside Finland or outside the European Economic Area.

Stripe

RenderReview uses Stripe to process paid subscriptions and manage billing.

Stripe may receive information necessary to process payments, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud and meet financial or regulatory obligations.

RenderReview does not directly store complete payment card details.

7. International data transfers

Some service providers used by RenderReview operate internationally.

As a result, personal data may be processed outside Finland or outside the European Economic Area.

Where required by law, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

8. Review links

Project owners may create review links and share them with other people.

Anyone who receives a valid review link may be able to access the project content made available through that link.

Users are responsible for sharing review links only with intended recipients.

Review links should be treated as confidential where a project contains confidential or sensitive material.

9. User-uploaded content

RenderReview does not claim ownership of uploaded project files, media or creative work.

Users remain responsible for the content they upload and for ensuring that they have the right to upload, store, review and share that content.

10. Security

RenderReview uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include authentication controls, access restrictions, upload validation, rate limiting, moderation protections and secure third-party infrastructure.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

RenderReview may use cookies or similar browser technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security and core service functionality.

RenderReview does not currently use personal data for third-party advertising.

12. Your data protection rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have the right to:

• request access to personal data;
• request correction;
• request deletion;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to certain processing;
• request data portability where applicable;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

13. Children

RenderReview is intended primarily for professional and creative work and is not designed as a service directed at children.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when RenderReview changes, service providers change, or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
